I was on my way somewhere with heavy cases - one large and heavy, and another medium and weighty - and went into a hotel. I was there at a time when I didn’t expect to be able to check-in so I waited in the foyer area. I was very tired before I went to check-in. I took my bags two flights of stairs up and placed them on the narrow balcony of a large space which was like a big open space inside the building. I put my cases up there to store them safely and out the way on a narrow strip of landing and balcony - which I thought would be a fairly private place and I do not have access. I left the bags there and went to reception to check in. I noticed plenty of fancy people in the hotel going about their business. at the reception during my check-in, there was an individual that served me. They gave me a piece of paper which was a bit plasticky, like some kind of sheet with a code on it with a number of numbers and letters, and then they seemed to suggest that my check in was done. I started to walk back to my bags through the hotel and along the corridor. However I noticed that there was a slot for a card in the doors, so I wondered if I was missing a card to access the door of my room.. so I went back to the reception again. it was busy and as I went back I noticed that there were lots of people now in the hotel people coming and going. A Nigerian well/dressed couple, an Asian delegation, and more people of various kinds. It felt like a peak check in time now and the hotel was getting busy. so I went back at the reception and asked “do I need a card to open my door?” another person served me this time. And I was given a card to unlock my room door. I was really annoyed and I was really tired so I kind of shouted at them “this is not good service!” at the individual who had served me earlier “not good service!”. And then I resumed what I was doing. I had also been feeling anxious about whether my bags would be okay because I was separate from them, and the longer I spent on sorting stuff out and having to go back-and-forth the longer they were isolated and potentially vulnerable. I wanted to get back to my bags to make sure that they were okay. When I went back to the bags and found the small staircase up, There was a small door that had been shut since I was last there to stop people going up because it wasn’t really a public access area. So I had to open that to enter the stairwell. then on the first floor I got out and looked about on the balcony to check if the bags were there , but I realised they were up on the next second floor and to keep going.. On the second floor, I found the bags, collected them and then went to my room. In the room was a huge huge bed. It was old, opulent, very sturdy, and very comforting how it felt to be on the bed. I looked through the windows and out onto a magnificent square - a combination of trees and walkways and monuments and statues, it was an old Victorian square. I felt really happy to be in the room and have this beautiful view. I felt very blessed and almost cried with joy. Then I found myself feeling the motion of being on a bus in my body - the twists and turns. I was confused that I was now on a bus, and I sad that I had left that big bed in the hotel overlooking the square that I was enjoying. I was sitting on the bus on the top floor, just past the halfway point on the right hand side .
